Evolution of Biological Diversity
We are interested in the evolution of biodiversity in an ever-changing world, with a particular focus in non-model organisms and poorly-studied lineages with remarkable natural histories. We mainly study flowering plants, but we also work with other lineages from across the tree of life. Our projects take place in the Tropics (including Hawaii) and California.
We are part of the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and the Center for Tropical Research in the Institute of the Environment and Sustainability at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).
